Dear Captains, It has been a fairly chaotic time these past two weeks, and I realize that there have been a lot of questions unanswered up to this point. I appreciate your patience while awaiting the new league information, and I hope that going forward, I will be better able to provide you with more concrete information. League Start Date - We are planning on starting the new league the week of August 10th. The new season will consist of 14 game plus playoffs. League Cost - $375 per player, or $4687.50 per team. We will also have the installment plan available to players and teams ONLINE ONLY.. The player installment plan will consist of 3 payments of $135. Should teams choose the team pay installment plan, the three payments will be $1687.50 each. Players will be able to register both online or at the rink.. The link to pay online is www.glacialgardensports.com/payments/pchl/. Let me know if you have any problems with the link or the procedures. I realize that many teams are accustomed to playing on certain nights/times, and I am doing my best to work with these schedules. As teams confirm their participation, I will be able to plan the ice slots for each level. I need to know what teams are planning on playing in this next season, so, I am asking each team right now, in order to help me get the season going, for the following… 1. Email me confirming that your team is planning on playing 2. Start getting their payments in 3. To submit a team roster to me. All players will also be required to have USA Hockey. Players can get registered now by going online to www.usahockey.com , completing the registration process and bring in their proof of registration to the rink. Again, I want to thank you for your patience, and your cooperation with this exciting program merger. This will be a fantastic season, and I am truly looking forward to getting started and meeting all of the new captains and your teams! Your league will be one of the largest in the country, and Danny Garcia and I will be working hard to make your playing experience the best possible. While you are at the rink, please feel free to come and introduce yourself or ask any questions. You are also welcome to email me at lakewoodadulthockey@yahoo.com. Sincerely, Terri Wethersett Hockey Director

Attn: PCHL Players I am happy to announce a planned merger between Glacial Gardens Adult League and PCHL. I believe this is a win-win for everyone in both leagues. I am very excited for several reasons: 1. I will stay on as a referee in chief. I will be the “scheduler” in charge of scheduling refs. 2. I will participate as one of the league Commissioners. 3. I will also be working closely with Glacial Gardens in order to allow the teams to keep the nights I had promised you in the past (of course there will probably be some hurdles but we will try our best to accommodate to your needs). 4. The best and the most important feature is that the league will be the biggest in California. I believe this will give opportunity to play more teams within your levels and make it much easier to move up or down depending on the team’s progress in the level. I am sure most of you are going to ask why? One of the main reasons is that level one is running out of teams to play and I wanted to help those teams that have been loyal to the league by merging. Unfortunately, the same scenario is also happening within level two, and it won’t be long before other levels run into the same problems if the recession were to continue. Because of your loyalty to PCHL, I wanted to provide the best scenario available for all of you to continue playing hockey and I truly believe this is the best answer for all concerned. Many of our teams originally came from Glacial Garden several years ago when their league merged with ours into the PCHL. The PCHL and Glacial have always had a very strong relationship. Ron White (President of Glacial) and myself have been friends for over 20 years in the Southern California hockey world and have worked together for years to make your hockey night the most rewarding. Therefore it is important for Glacial and PCHL to make sure we provide the best hockey opportunity for our teams into the future with the merger. Players, I believe this will be a great venture for you and PCHL. Also, I am not going anywhere; I will be a supporter of the mission plan. My only hope is that you will also see the big picture and allow Glacial Gardens to show you what kind of service they can provide. On Wednesday 7/15/2009 Glacial Gardens and I will be holding a meeting at 6:00 PM. There will be pizza and refreshments, so please come and meet Glacial’s management team and hear what they have to say, and if anyone has any questions feel free to call me. Dan Garcia
